Lungu to direct ZNBC to bring back Zambian motto
Mambwe, February 11, 2015, ZANIS—President Edgar Lungu says he will direct
ZNBC, the national broadcaster to reinstate the sloganeering of ‘One
Zambia One Nation’ as it is a unifying factor of the country.
President Lungu said at Mfuwe international airport when he addressed
Mambwe residents this morning that there is need for all Zambians to
remain united.
He was speaking shortly before departure for Lusaka after a one-week retreat in Mfuwe.
He stated that the national slogan should be aired on ZNBC just before
the news so that people are reminded about the unity that was
exhibited at independence saying there is need for continuity.
Mr Lungu said politics should not divide people in the country and
that Zambians should always remember that they are one despite
difference in politics, religion and others.
And President Lungu has stressed the need for the people of Mambwe to
stay in harmony with investors and tourists.
He advised them against poaching saying those engaged in the illegal
activities will have to face the wrath of the Law.
President Lungu was on a seven day working retreat and has since
returned to Lusaka.
