Lusaka Mayor and eldest son to the late President, Mulenga Sata has withdrawn from the presidential race.
He has stated that he has done this in the interest in unity in the party and the country.
He also stated that he had consulted his mothers Margaret Sata and Christine Kaseba-Sata.
He advised the party General Conference to elect a leader that would carry the vision and legacy of his father forward.
