Luapula PF happy with decision to reinstate Lungu as Party SG

—The Patriotic Front (PF) in Luapula Province is happy with the decision made by the party’s Central Committee to reinstate Edgar Lungu as Party Secretary General.

Luapula Province PF chairperson, Mary Nkandu, said the party in the province fully supports the decision that has been taken to reinstate Mr Lungu as Party Secretary following his dismissal by acting President, Guy Scott.

Ms Nkandu said this in a statement made available to ZANIS in Mansa.

The provincial Chairperson said the party in Luapula holds in high esteem Chipili Member of Parliament Davies Mwila’s decision to turn down the offer to him of the position of Secretary General.

She has since thanked the members of the Central Committee Rasford Mwale and Mr Mwila for the good leadership they have exhibited during mourning period.

The party chairperson said Patriotic Front members in the province are proud of the two leaders for doing what is right for the party.

Ms Nkandu said Luapula Province is a stronghold of Patriotic Front and that members of the party are vigilant to ensure that the status quo does not change in the province.
