——The Ushi Royal Establishment has described the death of Republican President Michael Sata as a great loss to the nation.
Chabuka Traditional Ceremony organiSing committee Chaiperson, Sitimela Kasongo, who described the late Republican President as a social democrat who always put the welfare of people first, said the President will forever remain in people’s mind because of the impact of his works to the nation.
Mr Kasongo said the late President will be remembered for transforming Zambia’s landscape through the construction of roads and other projects.
He said Zambia, under the leadership of President Michael Sata, was on the path of economic growth as the projects that were started by late President were projects that drive the nation’s economy.
Mr Kasongo said this in a statement made available to ZANIS Mansa.
He said the Ushi Royal Establishment will also remember the late President for the importance he attached towards chiefs in the country.
Mr Kasongo cited the establishment of the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs as one initiative that will forever remain in the mind of chiefs.
Meanwhile, the Luapula Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined the rest of the country in mourning the late President Sata.
Luapula Chamber of Commerce and Industry president, Simon Kabamba, said the late President will be remembered for his hard work in transforming the country’s economy in a short period.
