Political players in Lukulu District mourn Sata
Lukulu, 05 November 2014, ZANIS………Various Political Parties in Lukulu and Mitete Districts have described the death of President Micheal Sata has a great loss.
Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND ) Lukulu East Constituency Vice Chairman Jameson Mpidi says the death of President Sata has cut short developmental projects both in Lukulu and Mitete Districts.
Mr. Mpidi said President Sata showed interest in developing Mitete by declaring it as a district Adding that various developmental projects that have since taken place in the district.
He said everyone is saddened by the death of his Excellency President Sata saying so far the country has lost a great leader who had passion for all the people despite their status.
Mr. Mpidi has since urged politicians not to politicize the death of President Sata saying people should mourn him with respect and dignity.
And Movement for Multi-Party Democracy Chinonwe Ward Councilor Twembuchi Malikana has described the death of President Micheal Sata as a great loss to the people of Mitete district as he gave them a status of the district.
He said since Zambia got independence in 1964 there has been no president who came up with the initiative of making Mitete as a district in order to take development closer to the people.
