ZRA happy with new tax equipment
Nakonde, October 17,2014, ZANIS…Zambia Revenue Authority(ZRA) Commissioner General Berlin Msiska says the new electronic equipment installed to improve efficiency in domestic tax collection has numerous benefits to the tax payers.
The ZRA is implementing a business system called Tax-online and ASYCUDA world under its domestic taxes and service division.
Mr Msiska said in Nakonde that one of the major benefits for tax-online and ASYCUDA systems are that they were both web based and can therefore be accessed anywhere.
ZANIS reports that the ZRA Commissioner General was speaking during a tax payers education programme organised by the Authority.
Mr Msiska said previously domestic tax compliance required people to travel long distances and queue up for long hours just to meet their periodic tax obligations.
He said the new measures will highly benefit taxpayers and further promote easy and efficient tax compliance among the taxpayers.
The ZRA Commissioner General said the upgraded customs service system ASYCUDA world was now installed at all major border stations country wide including newly automated stations in Kipushi and Lufuwa border.
