The Judiciary and Allied workers Union of Zambia (JAWUZ) in the north western province has appealed to its members  to remain claim as the union starts the 2013/2014 negotiations for salaries and conditions of service.

Provincial secretary Helemendi Chifuka urged all the unionized employees to be patient with the negotiating team which will start the process next week on 25 March, 2013.

Mr Chifuka said once the negotiating team concludes the negotiation process with government it will inform all the employees on the outcome.

He stated that the employees are expecting a minimum salary net pay of not less than KR 5000 per month to be awarded to them.

The workers also want salaries in the judiciary to be harmonized like other unions such as the Agricultural Technical, Professional Staff Union of Zambia (ATPSUZ) has negotiated.

ATPSUZ this  week signed the 2013 /2014 collective agreement for salaries and improved conditions of service for unionized employees with government which will take effect on September 1 this year.
