The ministry of education has announced the reopening of Mbala Secondary School which remained closed to non-examination grades due to erratic water supply and poor sanitation.
Northern Province Education Officer Nero Mwanapabu confirmed the development to mano news today saying pupils in non-examination grades should report for school next week, Monday, September, 22, 2014.
Mr Mwanapabu noted that the reopening of the school follows the rehabilitation exercise on its sewer and water reticulation system.
He has since appealed to parents and guardians with children at Mbala Secondary school to ensure that they report for classes next week.
Last month, Mbala Secondary School recorded a serous outbreak of typhoid due to poor sanitary conditions at the learning institution.
