Meanwood donates to Chibombo accident victims

Meanwod property development company has donated KR100, 000.00 to families of the victims of the Chibombo bus accident in Ndola.

Copperbelt province permanent secretary Stanford Mschili handed over the money on behalf of the company.

The donation was made through the office of the First lady Dr Christine Kaseba.

Mr Mschili said each bereaved family will receive an equal amount.

He said his office will ensure that district commissioners from Kitwe, Luanshya, Nakonde and Lusaka help in the distributing the money to beneficiary families.

And speaking on behalf of the bereaved families, Alfred Chipawa thanked Meanwood and the office of the first lady for the kind gesture.

He said though the money cannot replace their loved ones they were grateful that they are still being remembered.

Mr Chipawa further appealed to the government and other companies to emulate the gesture by Meanwood.
