Luwingu public service workers happy NATSAVE
Luwingu, July 25, 2014, ZANIS- Public Service workers getting their salaries at the National Savings and Credit Bank (NATSAVE) in Luwingu district are happy with the bank for improving services.
The workers who include teachers and civil servants who stormed Zambia News and Information Services said the NATSAVE bank has improved the services and that July salaries have been paid on time.
The Bank last month delayed to pay the public worker’s salaries raising complaints from the affected customers.
The government workers started receiving their July salaries and wages last week on Friday a situation which has been commended by all the workers including the district administration.
Some civil servants still getting salaries in Kasama told ZANIS that if the bank continued with the same spirit of paying workers promptly, they will consider opening their accounts with NATSAVE because it is becoming expensive to travel to Kasama .
And NATSAVE managing director Cephas Chabu said in an interview with ZANIS that the bank has put up measures aimed at improving its services which will attract more civil servants and the general public to open accounts.
Mr Chabu said he was also happy to learn that teachers and civil servants in Luwingu are happy that they have received their salaries and wages on time.
Last month, teachers and civil servants in Luwingu district who get their salaries and wages through NATSAVE were left stranded because the bank had no money to pay them.
