74 North western clinic works to commence
Solwezi, July 25, 2014, ZANIS….The construction of the 74 health posts in Northwestern province is expected to start by the first week of August this year.
The 74 health posts to be constructed in the province are part of the 650 health posts that government will construct across the country.
And Northwestern province permanent secretary Amos Malupenga has asked Angelique International limited the company engaged to construct the health posts in the province to consider starting with Solwezi and Zambezi west districts.
Mr Malupenga explained that the rationale to start with the two districts is that existing health infrastructure in Solwezi district has been under pressure due to increase in population.
He said in Zambezi west the terrain of the district makes it inaccessible due to flooding during the rainy season.
Mr Malupenga said this when officials from Angelique International Limited called on him at his office today.
He called for commitment and dedication from the contractors in order for them to deliver tangible results within the stipulated time frame.
Speaking earlier, Angelique International limited assistant general manager Santosh Kumar pledged that his company will complete the construction of all the 74 health posts within 20 months.
