Govt summons health posts constructors
Lusaka, July 09, 2014, ZANIS…Health Minister Joseph Kasonde says government is concerned about the delays surrounding the construction of the 650 health posts across the country.
Dr Kasonde said this was the reason why his Ministry had called for an urgent meeting with some contractors who won the tender to build the health posts aimed at benefitting Zambians.
The Health Minister said this today at a briefing held at the Ministry headquarters in Lusaka when he met the contractors involved in the works.
Dr Kasonde said the purpose of the meeting was to review the progress regarding the construction of the 650 health facilities dotted across the country.
Dr Kasonde said the Zambian government appreciated greatly the assistance which the Indian government has so far rendered to the nation especially in sourcing funds for the construction of 650 health posts.
The Minister noted that the bilateral relations between the two nations should be cemented because Zambia and India have enjoyed cordial relationship for many years.
