Chief Moyo hails PF governmwent
Pemba, June 21st, 20014, ZANIS – Chief Moyo of the Tonga people in Pemba district says his chiefdom regrets not voting for Patriotic Front during 2011 elections.
The traditional ruler says though his chiefdom voted for the opposition, President Micheal Sata has not sidelined the chiefdom in taking development their.
Chief Moyo said President Micheal Sata in vain only heaped burning coals on his subjects by bringing them various developmental projects.
ZANIS reports that the traditional leader said this in a vote of thanks,during a Community meeting at Haajamba Basic School yesterday in Chief Moyo” s area in Pemba District.
This was during a public development meeting officiated by Pemba District Commissioner Reginald Mugoba.
“ I would like to apologize on behalf of the people of Moyo chiefdom for not voting for PF during the previous elections yet the man we rejected has now become our pillar of help;am so sorry Sir,kindly convey our apology to the republican president,” Chief Moyo said.
He noted that the declaration of pemba as a district had come with numerous benefits as evidenced in the infrastructure development in the entire district and specifically his area.
Among the various developmental activities done in his chiefdom included the upgrading of Ndondi Basic school into a full fledged secondary school, the construction of a Mini hospital in partnership with World Vision Zambia and the spot improvement of the feeder road from Muzoka turn off to Haajamba through Ndondi in the same chiefdom.
And Pemba District Commisioner Reginald Mugoba assured the people of Moyo that they were yet to see more development because the PF government was pro- poor and had the interests Moyo people at heart.
