Police in Lusaka have arrested three security guards of Group Four Security in connection with the theft of an undisclosed amount of money.
Ms Chanda says the incident happened at Manda Hill Shopping Centre on Wednesday 23rd April around 1530 hours where the Guards had gone to collect money from different companies for banking.
She says when the crew commander went to collect some more money from Multi Choice Manda Hill branch, the driver of the van sped off with the cash.
Ms. Chanda has says it after the incident that a manhunt for the guards was immediately launched and the trio was apprehended in three different locations and part of the money recovered.
Ms. Chanda has named those involved as Peter Kabaso 40, Gift Nitalasha 41 and Luckson Kachampa 42 of Mandevu, John Laing and Kuku Compounds respectively who are believed to have been working with a witch doctor identified as Mbewe who is currently on the run.
She says the suspects will be charged with Theft by Servant Contrary to section 278 of the penal code of the Laws of Zambia.
