EXCITING Power Dynamos midfielder Lubambo Musonda has been named in the 26-member Zambia Under-20 team that goes into camp next week for the second round of the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championship (AYC) qualifier set for early next month.
Musonda, who was also a last minute inclusion at last year’s disastrous Zambia outing during the COSAFA Youth tournament held in Lesotho, has been followed to the team by Kabwe Warriors promising talent of Godfrey Ngwenya.
National Under-20 coach George Lwandamina has also placed two players on standby as Zambia prepares to qualify for the AYC finals to be staged in Dakar, Senegal.
Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communications manager, Nkweto Tembwe said the 26 players picked by the coaching bench were expected in camp on Sunday, April 13.
Tembwe said the team would camp at the FAZ technical centre in Lusaka and would not break camp until the date for the first leg game set for May 8.
“The coaching bench has called a total of 26 players to go into camp this weekend for the Africa Youth Cup qualifier next month. Another two players have been placed on standby. The camp starts on April 13 and there would be no break. All the boys called must report to FAZ technical centre by the stated date,” he said.

The Lwandamina side will have the advantage of playing second leg of the qualifier at home.
