Energy Minister, Christopher Yaluma, says four companies have won bids to start prospecting for oil and gas reserves in various parts of the country.
Mr. Yaluma says the PF government is geared to ensure that that country uses its natural resources wisely to the development of the nation.
Mr. Yaluma further reveals that two among the firms are Zambian companies that have shown interest in exploring for oil.
He has expressed optimism and confidence that oil and gas reserves will soon be found in the country.
He adds that the tender committee on Petroleum has received overwhelming response from companies that bid for oil and gas exploration works.
The Malole PF Member of Parliament says the prospects of oil and gas being found in the country is higher than at any time in Zambia’s history.
