Government has warned against child labour in Nsumbu area of Northern Province.
And Nsama District Commissioner Panji Chilingala says children are future leader hence the need to invest education in them so that the can come and contribute positively to economic development..
Gender and Child Development Deputy Minister Esther Banda issued the warning when she addressed women groups in the area over the weekend.
Mrs. Banda said that government will not hesitate to punish parents found wanting in child labour.
She has advised parents in the area to encourage their children to return to school after delivery so that they could get educated.
Mrs Banda revealed that Government attaches great importance to the warfare of child hence the introducing re- entry Policy for girls who fall pregnant before completing their secondary Education.
She explained that Government is concern of children and female affairs that is why it came up with her ministry so that it could address issues concerning Children in the Nation.

Mr. Chilingala encouraged women to form Clubs so that they could be come beneficiaries of Government funds.
He told women and youths that funds are available for them to access as long as they provide necessary documents.
Mr. Chilingala said if women and youths access these funds and embark on income generating venture it would improve their living standards.
