Teacher Commission empathizes with Teachers’ poor conditions of service
Kasama , July 9th, 2013-ZANIS- The Teaching Service Commission says it is concerned over the poor working Conditions of teachers in rural areas.
Commissioner Chairperson Jennifer Chiwala says her commission was aware of the many challenges that teachers especially in rural areas are facing.
ZANIS reports that Commissioners said this when she paid a courtesy call on Kasama District Commissioner Kalanga Bwalya at his office today.
She said this is why they are going round the Provinces to familiarize themselves with the many challenges facing the teaching fraternity.
Mrs. Chiwala was however quick to mention that the teaching commission service is working hard in order to address some of these difficulties.
And Kasama District Commissioner Kalanga Bwalya expressed happiness that the commissioners have taken time to tour the area.
Mr. Bwalya said most teachers in the area have been facing difficulties that need the agent attention from the teaching service commission.
The District said the visit by the commissioners will bring hope to the teachers in the area.
He has since expressed optimism that most difficulties will be tackled as they are in the Province.
The Teaching Service Commissioners are on the familiarization tour of schools in Northern Province.
