The tourist Capital will be hosting the international cultural arts festival and street carnival from 20th to 22 of June 2013.
The international festival is pre- UNWTO General Assembly aimed at bringing together an eclectic mix of different cultures , arts ,rhythm and music.
ZANIS reports that this is according to a press statement released to ZANIS by the Zambia Tourism Board in Livingstone on June 19th.
The festival has attracted Artistists from Seychelles,Botswana, Kenya, UK and the from the co- hosts Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The event will start with a street carnival at around lunch time from falls park to mukuni park and later at a festival gala night will be held at the Zambezi Sun Hotel where a host of performers will be expected to perform.
More performances are expected on Saturday at the golf club with musicians such as Cactus, JK , Pompi, and slap D among others as well as Zambian dancers, arts and crafts stalls will be available as well.
Tomorrow Thursday June 20 Zambia Tourism board and its cooperating partners will host the Regional Tourism Organization of Southern Africa (RETOSA).
According to the statement this will increase attendance to the festival as well as provide an opportunity to market Zambia to potential delegates to the for coming general Assembly.
The statement goes on further to say the Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival (LICAF) also aimed to creating economic benefits to the Livingstone private sector ,local artists and the Livingstone community in general.
