Government says it is a political gimmick for the opposition to suggest that the Zambia Police has a soft spot for the ruling PF.

Home Affairs Deputy Minister Panji Kaunda says the Zambia Police does not distinguish when it comes to applying the law whether who has committed a crime is from the ruling PF or the opposition.

Colonel Kaunda says the Police take a criminal as criminal regardless of what color or political affiliation.

He says this is why President Edgar Lungu has been ordering the Police at several occasions to deal with everyone fairly.
