The opposition Patriotic Front (PF) party has protested the arrest of its members and demanded that the Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu must take action regarding the issue.
Raising a matter of public urgency in parliament today, the leader of the opposition, Brian Mundubile, questioned Mr Mwiimbu’s silence over alleged “continued harassment of PF members who have been arrested”.
Mr Mundubile said the PF is aware that parliamentarians are not above the law but charged that the pattern of arrests looks tribal.
