RESIDENTS of Kitwe’s Wusakile constituency yesterday allegedly ruthlessly beat to death a mentally retarded person for disrupting church activities at a named church in the area.
And police in Kalulushi have picked up a 23-year-old man for beating to death his 70-year-old stepfather over house chores.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Charity Katanga confirmed the incidents in an interview yesterday.
In the first case, Mrs Katanga said the suspected mental patient was ruthlessly beaten up by an angry mob in Wusakile on Saturday.
