THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has refused to remove lawyers Makebi Zulu and Gilbert Phiri from prosecuting former Minister of Tourism and Arts Sylvia Masebo in a case in which she is facing abuse of authority of office charges.
Magistrate Irene Wishimanga said in her ruling delivered yesterday that she has no power to appoint or remove any prosecutor from proceedings on grounds that they are officers of the court.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
