Police in Lusaka have arrested and charged a 50-year-old woman, for allegedly leaving her grand-daughter alone, whenever she would go for
work.
Christine Tabamwi, who would lock up the grand daughter, has been
charged with the offence of cruelty to juveniles.
Ms Tabamwi would lock up the child, aged between 3 and 4, inside her
house, in Lusaka’s Mutendere compound.
Police Spokesperson, Charity Chanda says Ms Tabamwi is currently
detained at Woodlands Police station, while her grand daughter has
been taken to social welfare
