FAZ threatens to move international games to Ndola

Zambia U23 1-2 Nigeria U23 (1-2 agg): Awoniyi's brace fires Dream Team to All African Games

The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has warned that it may be forced to take all international games to Ndola, on the Copperbelt, if Lusaka based soccer fans continue to be unruly.

FAZ Communications Manager, Nkweto Tembwe has since condemned the throwing of missiles on the pitch by soccer fans after the Zambia Under 23 lost 2-1 to Nigeria at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Saturday.

Tembwe says CAF may also be forced to ban the use of the National Heroes Stadium if such behaviors continues.

 

And the Zambia Sports Fans Association President, Peter Makembo has also condemned the behavior of fans.

Over the weekend, fans started throwing objects on the playing pitch, as theZambia Under23 side lost 2-1 to Nigeria, in a 2015 All Africa Games qualified match.
