–Namwala District Commissioner, Gevar Nsanzya, says there is need to build additional courts and police posts in the district to reduce distance and costs to accessing justice.
Mr Nsanzya was speaking at the official opening of the Legal and Justice Sector Reforms public sittings in Namwala Council chamber today.
He said there is also particular need for the Legal Aid Board to open an office in Namwala so that the poor could readily access legal aid services.
Mr Nsanzya said currently the district commissioners’ office is having loads of issues which could be handled by legal experts which the district lacks.
