The Lusaka Magistrate Court has fined musician Bobby East and his co-accused Ruth Mukanga 8-thousand 5-hundred Kwacha each or 9 months imprisonment in default producing obscene materials.
Bobby East, whose real name is Robert Chunga, and Ruth were found guilty of making obscene materials with potential to corrupt morals.
Magistrate Mwaka Mikalile on Monday, November 3 2014, convicted Bobby East and Mukanga after they pleaded guilty.
In passing sentence Mrs. Mikalile says the apology and showing remorse was not a justifiable excuse to commit crime.
The court stated that the sentence will save as a deterrent to would be offenders.
