NIGER protests against the use of Sunzu in AFCON qualifier

NIGER have protested against the use of Zambia skipper and defender Stopilla Sunzu in yesterday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.


Niger lodged in the protest to match commissioner Linekela Nghitaunapo of Namibia before the kick-off of the game.
The reason for the protest was not immediately established this delayed kick off for about two minutes and during the match, Sunzu was outstanding, to the chagrin of the Nigeriens.

it would have made sense if it happend during the time we won the afcon cup .not now thy are mad.

They said he lost his sister and was not supposed to play in that game as CAF rules clearly states that, as africans anyone who loses a close relative is not supposed to take part in any sporting games.
