Kabwe High Court judge-in-charge, Mwiinde Siavwapa has sentenced Anthony Musoka, a self -proclaimed prophet of Kabwe, to 25 years imprisonment after he was convicted of rape.
Particulars of the offence are that Musoka on March 14, 2013 in Kabwe, whilst praying for a housewife raped her in the process.
Mr Justice Siavwapa said it was unfortunate that Musoka masqueraded as a prophet and duped an innocent woman who was vulnerable and violated her rights.
He said it was unlawful to have sex with a woman without her consent and that the court would not take the offence lightly hence he was sending Musoka to jail for a period of 25 years.
Earlier during trial, the woman told the court that on March 14, 2013 she travelLed to Kasavasa area to meet Musoka for personal prayers as she was experiencing prolonged menstrual cycles.
She said when she got there, Musoka made her to kneel down while holding a chicken and later poured blood with water on her and started praying for her.
It was at that point that Musoka pinned her to the ground and raped her.
