THE K80 million Protea Hotel at Arcades, which was under expansion, opened on April 9.
Protea Hotel Zambia chairperson Mark O’Donnell said the hotel has been completed and is now open for bookings to the public.
Mr O’Donnell said the official opening of the hotel will be announced later.

He said the expansion of the new wing will see it grow to 237 rooms from the current 100 rooms and includes a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, satellite, television and in-room work stations.
Mr O’Donnell thanked Government and companies for the support rendered to the group during the project.
The extension of the hotel is part of the group’s massive expansion drive across Africa under Protea Hotels and African Pride Hotels banners, which includes hotels in Rwanda and Ghana.
The group, which started planning of the project in January 2012, began construction last year in January.
Meanwhile, Marriott International Hotels of the United States has completed the acquisition of Protea Hotels Group becoming the largest hotel company in Africa.
