A 23-year-old woman of Lusaka Mtendere’s Compound on Friday attempted to kill herself after poisoning her two son’s with insecticide.
Lillian Mutale who is battling for her life at the University Teaching Hospital -UTH -gave her 2 and 5 year old sons poison for unknown reasons.
ZNBC TV 2’s Patricia Mapiki reports that the 5-year-old boy died upon arrival at Mtendere Clinic while the sibling is reported to be alive but his health condition is yet to be established.
Meanwhile, UTH Spokesperson Mwenya Mulenga confirmed that Lillian was taken to the UTH around 10 hours .
Mr Mulenga described her condition as stable and out of danger.
Last week, a 39-year-old woman of Lusaka killed herself and her two children by making them drink the insecticide-doom- after an alleged marital dispute.
