George Lwandamina has named a 23-member provisional team for this weekend’s 2016 Chan first round, first leg away qualifier against Namibia.

The team consists of eleven players who were part of Zambia’s 2017 Africa Cup Group E qualifier against Guinea Bissau in Ndola that ended 0-0.

Midfielder Lubambo Musonda, who is currently unattached following the termination of his contract with Armenian club FC Ulisses, is part of the team.

Others are goalkeeper Daniel Munyao, defenders Donashano Malama and Christopher Munthali, midfielder Allan Mukuka and striker Jimmy Ndhlovu who were also part of Zambia’s 2015 Cosafa Cup team at the tournament hosted by South Africa in May.

Lwandamina has also handed a belated debut call-up to veteran midfielder Buchizya Mfune of Green Buffaloes and his club mate Jack Chirwa.

Meanwhile, Namibia will host Zambia in the first leg on June 20 while the final leg will be played on July 4.

The winner will face Mozambique or Seychelles in the final-round decider in October for a place at next year’s tournament in Rwanda.

The victor of the Zambia/Namibia game will be at home in the final round, first leg qualifier on October 17 while the final leg will be played a week later.
