Former Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza has revealed Zambia Soccer Association had no decency to wait for him to arrive at his office but handed him his dismissal letter at the airport when arriving from an international assignment.
Janza, who returned from Ethiopia guiding the team to a 1-0 win in an international, says his dismissal is painful considering the manner FAZ delivered the letter to him.
He says the separation from national team duties demonstrated how the local body disrespected local coaches.
“The most painful part was to receive the letter at the airport. It was delivered by Mr Sam Phiri, an accountant at Football House, and Mr Julio Chiluba [the head of administration and competition at FAZ].

I can’t comment much, I want to sleep over it and think about my future,” said Janza.
FAZ committee member Happy Munkondya and spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe jointly confirmed Janza’s dismissal at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola yesterday when they went to receive the Chipolopolo team that was returning from a friendly in Ethiopia.
A few months ago, Janza had a run in with FAZ boss Kalusha Bwalya when his contractual issues were made public without first being advised on the future.

  1. just be thankful for the exposure, otherwise you have failed to perform to our expectation

  2. Normally it happens right when the game is going on. People are fired before arrival
