The Football Association of Zambia-FAZ has dismissed media reports suggesting that FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya is seeking to change the FAZ constitution for personal benefit.
FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe has explained that the current FAZ constitution already allows the incumbent to re-contest his position for as many times as he wishes.
Tembwe says councilors attending this Saturday’s non elective FAZ Annual General Meeting at Mulungushi Rock of Authority in Kabwe have the right to accept or reject any proposals that will be presented by other delegates to amend the current FAZ constitution.
He has distanced FAZ from any proposals to amend the constitution, but was quick to mention that delegates have the right to vote for or against a proposal they are not comfortable with.
