Senior National Netball Team resumes preps for Sydney games
Lusaka, February 17th , 2015, ZANIS–The Zambia Senior National Netball Team yesterday resumed it preparations for the forthcoming World Netball Championship slated for Sydney in August this year.
Netball Association of Zambia (NAZ) general secretary Pritchard Ngoma confirmed the development to ZANIS Sports in an interview in Lusaka today.
Ngoma said the team resumed its world cup preparations at the National Sports Development Center (NASDEC) in Lusaka.
He said prior to resuming trainings, the team attended a workshop on Gender Based Violence (GBV) facilitated by International Netball Federation (NIF) and the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) at NASDEC.
And Ngoma said his organisation is committed to ensure that it prepares a holistic athlete before the Sydney world cup.
The 2015 Netball World cup championship kicks off from 7 to 16 August, 2015 and Zambia will be competing for the second time since the world netball tournament began in 1963.
