UCZ trinity Church donates to Sefula Mission
Mongu, 17th November, 2014, ZANIS……The United Church of Zambia (UCZ ) Trinity Congregation of Lusaka has donated assorted materials and a cheque worth K5, 000 and K1, 000 cash to Sefula Mission in Mongu District of Western Province.
And Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba said he was impressed that Trinity Congregation has demonstrated true leadership by reaching out to people in remote areas.
Trinity Congregation Men’s Christian Fellowship (MCF) Convener Hastings Chiti said the congregation decided to extend their evangelization by reaching out to the less privilege in the community.
Mr. Chiti said the motorbike will assist the congregation in taking the word of God to forward and further uplift the lives the community.
He said the congregation decided to pick on Sefula Mission in Mongu District as their Jubilee project as Sefula is one of the first old Christian Missions in Zambia.
Mr. Chiti said this when he donated the cheque and assorted items in Mongu District yesterday.
Among the donated items were 64 blankets and bed sheets which were given to 64 pupils at Sefula School for the blind, Second hand clothes, Chitenge materials, a TV set, musical equipment, balls for netball and football and a motorbike.
And receiving the gifts on behalf of Sefula Mission, Rev. Maybin Mubita thanked Trinity Congregation for the kind gesture of identifying themselves with the needy people of Sefula area.
Rev. Mubita added that God will bless Trinity Congregation for extending their love to Sefula Mission and the visually impaired pupils.
Meanwhile, Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba said he was impressed that Trinity Congregation has demonstrated true leadership by reaching out to people in remote areas.
Mr. Seyuba, who is also a member of UCZ, said true leadership is for everyone hence anyone who is called to Jesus is called to leadership.
Trinity Congregation was in Western Province over the weekend to evangelize and extend their love to Sefula Mission.
Before the congregation returned to Lusaka on Sunday, they had a church service at Sefula UCZ under the theme, “Seeking the Church transformed by enlargement, through prudent stewardship,” taken from Romans 12 verse 2.
