Mpika missing man found dead

–A man in his 40s, who went missing for some time now in Mwika village of Chinsali district, has been found dead while another is still missing.

The development has been confirmed to ZANIS by Muchinga Deputy Police Commissioner, Bonny Kapeso, today.

Mr Kapeso said the body of Malesi Mulenga, whose exact age is not yet known but in his 40s, was found by passers-by.

The body of Mulenga was spotted floating in the Chambeshi River in Chibunda village.

Mr Kapeso said the body, which was found around 07:00 hours yesterday, was identified by brother –in –law of the deceased, Aaron Mulenga.

He said both hands and legs of the deceased were found tied with a rope with his tongue hanging out, adding that physical injuries were also seen on his body.

Mr Kapeso said   Mulenga’s was suspected of practicing witch craft together with Brenda Kapamba, who is still missing.

The Deputy Police Chief said police suspect foul play and a docket of murder has since been opened while the body of Mulenga has been buried.
