The Football Association of Zambia ( FAZ ) is reported be in a quandary position on who to replace to have a new man in the national team’s top job ahead of the qualifiers in September.
According to the social media, the Zambian kickoff, FAZ has no option but to fall back on its Technical Director Honour Janza to get the Morocco crusade underway with two matches in five days time.
Janza, an elite CAF instructor and a 2012 Africa Cup winner, has worked with Herve Renard and Patrice Beaumelle over the last five years. He is the highest qualified technical expert in the country after FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya.
The Technical Director could also be in the running for the job on a permanent basis but FAZ would have to make a difficult decision to move him away from heading the technical directorate, a critical development division.
Chipolopolo host the Mambas of Mozambique on Saturday 6th September, 2014 before immediately flying out to West African Atlantic Ocean archipelago nation of the Cape Verde for the second match on Wednesday 10 September, 2014.
The schedule of fixtures will require meticulous planning by FAZ Secretariat to avoid pitfalls that in the past characterised anarchic trips that embarrassed the nation such the London fiasco against Ghana in 2009, the drama of the flight to Kumasi and the no-show of some players in Beijing against Brazil.
The September Afcon fixture is as follows:
Saturday 6 September in Ndola: Zambia vs. Mozambique
Wednesday 10 September in Praia: Cape Verde vs. Zambia.
Janza is ok as long as he will preserve his integrity by NOT being biased in Player selection. This is wat has made Local Coaches fail to take our National Team anywhere.Janza is Fit for the Job,but let him pick players on MERIT like forein coaches do.BIASNESS in player selection is the Only disease that should be killed in our LOCAL COACHES,.But for the first Time I may support a Local Coach. All the best Janza and please make us proud. You have my blessings
Some people always want to conderm every move Faz mAkes! which local coach can we go for if not Janza?
Some people always want to conderm every move Faz mAkes! which local coach can we go for if not Janza?
thats a total failure
He now has to win soccer fans by starting on positive note and most crucially avoid bias in player selection, which gas dogged local coaches, best wishes!!
Objective move and an expected one, he was assistant coach and later technical director, but give him all the support that comes with his job!!
We’ll fail to quality for AFCON
He’s the pefect man for the job. He has rose through ranks & I believe that time is ripe for him!
