A 45-year-old woman of Kalulushi has been murdered by her man friend.
Police in Kitwe, who confirmed the development to ZANIS Kalulushi today, said Irene Mulenga of house number 7 Lukulu had a quarrel with Elias Kafunda who later strangled her to death.
Police sources said the woman sustained a bruised neck.
The sources said the incident happened yesterday around 12:00 hours at the deceased’s residence.
The police sources said the man has been arrested and detained at Kalulushi Police station and will appear in court soon.
The body of the deceased is at Kalulushi Government hospital awaiting postmortem.
