FC SOCHAUX coach Herve Renard yesterday fumed over the non arrival of the three Chipolopolo stars following Wednesday’s international friendly match against the Cranes of Uganda.
Renard, who is preparing for the French Ligue 1 match against Monaco tonight, said he expected the three Zambian players to report back to their base after featuring in Wednesday’s friendly match to enable him prepare for the match.
The three are defender Stoppila Sunzu, midfielder Nathan Sinkala and striker Emmanuel Mayuka.
“Our three Zambian internationals haven’t returned yet. That’s not a perfect preparation for the game tomorrow.
“It will be a complicated game but we won’t be going in it with a lot pressure.
“Apart from our win against Girondins Bordeaux last week, I keep in mind the fact that we’ve won four out of our last five home games,” Renard told a pre-match conference.
According to the club website, Renard said while it was not the match against Monaco that will see Sochaux survive relegation, there was need to have all the players back after the international break to adequately prepare for the match where he expressed hope of causing an upset
Sochaux are lying second from bottom with 22 points while Monaco are second on the log with 56 points heading into tonight’s kickoff at 21:00 hours at the Stade Louis II.
