A 40 year old man of Kampasa village in Mpika district of Muchinga Province has been nabbed by police for defiling his three year old stepdaughter.
Muchinga Province police deputy commissioner Bonny Kapeso has confirmed the arrest to ZANIS in Mpika today.
Mr Kapeso said the incident happened last week on Sunday around 02:00 hours in the morning.
He said the juvenile was bleeding from her private parts and sustained swellings.
Mr Kapeso said the juvenile is currently admitted to Mpika district hospital while the step father is in police custody and will appear in court soon.
