A MAN of Bulangililo Township in Kitwe has died after allegedly being axed in the head by unknown people.
Chishimba Mulenga, 23, was found dead on Sunday morning with four deep cuts in the head and another one in the chest.
Copperbelt police commissioner Joyce Kasosa confirmed the suspected murder of Mr Chishimba which happened between Saturday and Sunday.
Ms Kasosa said Mr Mulenga’s body was discovered on Sunday in Ipusukilo Township with cuts on the left side of his head and on his chest.
She said the body was taken Kitwe Central Hospital mortuary as investigations were launched.
Ms Kasosa also said the body of the 12-year-old girl of Ipusukilo Township who was killed by a crocodile on Saturday was still missing.
Mamicho Lubola of house number 2626, fell prey to the giant reptile when she went swimming with and her two younger sisters in Kafue River, about 100 metres from their home.
