According to mtnfootball.com, Defender Aaron Katebe, 20 of FC Platinum in Zimbabwe says he is targeting to reclaim his place in the Zambia team.
The 20-year-old defender failed to make the preliminary 2013 Africa Cup team after he was dropped after Zambia’s first pre-tournament friendly away to Saudi Arabia in December.
Katebe told MTNFootball.com that he was eager to impress Herve Renard again after making his debut under the Frenchman against Angola last May.
“I am working hard so that I get back to the national team,” Katebe said.
“I am looking forward and ready for any challenge.”
The defender switched clubs for the 2013 Zimbabwe Premiership season to follow his Zambian mentor Tennant Chilumba from Hwange to FC Platinum in January.
Katebe has five caps and his last match came in a 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia on December 5, 2012 in Dammam.
