The Kwacha – U.S dollar exchange rate has remained unchanged for a fourth day running.
The Kwacha whose trading against one U.S dollar remained unchanged since last week Friday was as of yesterday still trading at 11-kwacha 30 ngwee on the interbank market.
The Zambia National Commercial Bank says the slow demand for the U.S dollar by importers and exporters has supported the Kwacha to continue trading on the same footing.
According to ZANACO Newsletter, the kwacha is expected to remain stable in the near term.
The bank however, says trading between the ZAMBIAN kwacha and U.S dollar is expected to be capped between 11-kwacha 30 ngwee and 11-kwacha 40 ngwee in the short term.
