The European Union -EU-has lifted the ban on Zambian air carriers to dot its skies in a bid to boost tourism and increase traffic between the southern African country and the EU.

The lifting of the lid means that Zambian registered aircrafts are free to fly into the EU.

This is according to latest update by European Union in Brussels today.

And Zambia’s Deputy Ambassador to Sweden Anthony Mukwita said Zambia may now advance to construct a more than Three Hundred million United States dollar ultra-modern international airport.

President Edgar Lungu recently announced the temporary halt of capital projects for Airways due to financial challenges.

The Multimillion ultra-modern international airport will make it a continental hub.
