Government is concerned that a named provincial buildings officer in southern province is fraudulently issuing certificates to nonexistent projects.
Agriculture and livestock permanent secretary David Shamulenge says there is proof that the buildings officer has been certifying the construction of dip tanks in his ministry when there is actually nothing on the ground.
Dr. Shamulenge who revealed this when he called on his southern province counterpart Sibanze Simuchoba has asked the provincial permanent secretary to be on top of things and monitor all government projects.
And Mr. Simuchoba says the buildings officer in question has not even hid to the presidential directive to move to Choma, as he is still residing in Livingstone.
