PROFLIGHT Zambia has revealed a fresh set of brand ambassadors who will help showcase the beauty of Zambia in conjunction with the airline.
The new Fly5 ambassadors include Chef 187, Cleo Ice Queen, Kanji, Kiki and JamesSakala who were officially unveiled last Friday at a cocktail event in Lusaka.
The five artistes will be travelling with Proflight to various parts of Zambia to give fans a taste of the music, food and culture across the country in the coming year.
While musicians and performers in their own right, under the Fly5 banner, the five will have the opportunity to record songs and music videos that capture the excitement of Zambia’s traditional ceremonies and other best known tourist attractions.
“Proflight Zambia links people of all ages and backgrounds across the country, and music connects them all,” Proflight marketing manager Hellen Mwamba said.
“Fly5 reloaded aims to reach out to existing and future passengers, bringing them together to share the excitement, affordability and convenience of flying with us to some of the most amazing destinations in the country.”
The new Fly5 team follows in the footsteps of the original Proflight Fly5 group, which was formed in 2013 and comprised JK, Slap Dee, Pompi and Cactus Agony along with model Petita Mwanza.
Chef 187, who is the younger brother of hip hop artiste Macky II, expressed appreciation for the chance to promote Zambia’s tourism as a brand ambassador.
He said the beauty of Zambia needed to be showcased in every way possible.
Hip hop artiste and model Cleo Ice Queen said being a Fly5 ambassador was an honour, given the opportunity to support Zambian brands and “everything proudly Zambian”.
