The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has disclosed that it has received several applications from investors who intend to go into sugar production.
ZDA Director General Patrick Chisanga has told Qfm in an interview that the agency is currently reviewing the applications.
Mr.Chisanga says some the investors are interested in setting up operations in Luapula province.
He says the agency is overwhelmed with the response from prospecting investors an indication that they are appreciating the conducive business environment in Zambia.
Mr. Chisanga stresses that the agency will continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders and ensure that more foreign direct investment is attracted to boost the country’s economy.
