—-A 43-year-old woman of Mutondo village in senior Chieftainess Chungu’s area was last Friday caught and eaten by a crocodile in the Kasakalambwe River where she went washing her clothes.
Sub-chief Mutondo of Abenamukulu tribe of Luwingu district in Northern Province disclosed to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIA) in Luwingu yesterday.
He said the deceased left behind a week-old baby who at the time of the incident was lying under a tree shelter as she was busy washing her clothes.
Sub chief Mutondo said only a Chitenge material has been recovered.
He, however, said the community has continued searching for her remains in the banks of Kasakalambwe River in the area.
