Senior Chief Ishindi of the Lunda people in Zambezi District as postponed the installation of Isaac Kaping’a as Chief Ishima of the Lunda people of Zambezi East in North Western Province.
This follows a petition filed in the high court by aspiring family members of the Kaluluma family.
The Kaluluma family has challenged the ascendance of Kaping’a to the throne of Chief Ishima.
ZANIS reports that the traditional leader said this during the installation of Village headmen ahead of today’s Lunda Lubanza traditional ceremony yesterday.
He however said that initially the village men conducted a poll and Kiping’a scooped the seat with 40 votes while his challenger, Kaluluma got four votes.
